With PPAT’ s experience in strengthening capacity of young people through Boy Scout activities, PPAT was assigned by Thai Health Promotion Foundation to conduct a research for the feasibility in improving the present Scout curriculum. Research methodologies include qualitative analysis in 4 target groups which are schools’ executives, teachers, students and parents. The research was conducted in 7 schools practicing Scout activities from 4 regions nationwide. Objectives of the project are to develop Scout curriculum to be in line with new environment and to manage Scout activities effectively under the Core Curriculum of Basic Education 2008 and the Scouts Act 2008. The project contains two parts; first is to develop the curriculum and the second is to conduct a research to seek for the best method for the management of Scout organizations, in the hope that both aspects would lead to effective Scout curriculum in education institution level, provincial level, regional level and national level.
