Through all media channels and reaching out to teen groups

Since the development of quality of life is a wide-ranging field, requiring acceptance among civil society, intellectual leaders, religious leaders and community leaders included government and private sectors to achieve our goals, PPAT formulated strategies to gain acceptance and support in order to accomplish solid implementation that leads to continual success.

In 2008, PPAT received continued support and cooperation from government and private agencies, particularly mass media such as radio stations, TV stations, newspaper and websites, in broadcasting news and information on reproductive health to general public. Within the past year, two more local radio stations requested PPAT to conduct knowledge dissemination on reproductive health programs to broadcast on their stations. PPAT also improved the PPAT website by changing the layout and adding new contents and functions which attract young people, such as a web board. In 2008, over 4,000 visitors logged on to the website and got involved through the web board related to reproductive health. PPAT has also published and distributed new editions of PPAT journals to related agencies and educational institutions. Approximately 308,270 persons received information on reproductive health from PPAT through media channels.

Organization Management and Development

PPAT’s achievements have emerged from strong intentions and determination to develop non-profit implementation through collaboration among committees, volunteers and PPAT members.

In 2008, PPAT has implemented activities to strengthen the capacities of staff in fund raising, proposal writing and project management. PPAT also improved organization for efficiency and effectiveness which will create greater visibility of PPAT as a result.

To assure that PPAT’s implementation will achieve the objectives and goals of all projects, PPAT has highlighted strengthening capacity of personnel and organization to be ready in performing tasks effectively. By implementing projects in their target areas, PPAT staff will be able to understand the issues and handle problems when they occur. These experiences will strengthen their capacities and skills in implementing the projects. Organization Management and Personal Development Project.

In 2008, PPAT reached our goals in development projects with strong support from PPAT committees, since they made an effort to follow up the projects in their implementation areas nationwide, encouraged the staff in implementing the projects. Particularly, the development committee acknowledged the importance of personnel development, and thus granted the budget for organizing a proposal writing workshop for the heads of projects, including related staff, in order to enhance their capacity. This enabled them to formulate proposals in order to receive budget from donors to implement the projects.

Organization management and development projects in 2008 reached their goals with strong support from PPAT Council, particularly from the Organizational Development Committee. They recognized the importance of capacity building for PPAT staff, therefore, they have allocated budget in organizing “Proposal Writing Trainings” to strengthen the capacity of PPAT staff to develop quality proposals to submit to donors.
