OUR VISION

1. 1. PPAT envisions its active participation in a development of every woman, man, and young person in Thailand to have good health and access to reproductive health information and quality services, including family planning, sex education, sexual health, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS. All of these will be responsive and suit the needs of each individual whose choices and rights to making appropriate decisions must be recognized and respected as a fundamental human right.

PPAT works in close collaboration and cooperation with strategic partners within and outside the country, in the Asian and other Regions of the world in the areas of reproductive health, including family planning and HIV/AIDS in terms of information sharing, technical knowledge update and service provision.

OUR MISSION

1. Expand and strive through enhancing capacity development process in the community so that the general public, especially the disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, have increased access to gender-sensitive and quality reproductive health and family planning knowledge, information and services and through improving the service standard for better quality of life.
2. Advocate policy makers at all levels to become aware and recognize the importance and needs to support programs of reproductive health, family planning, sex education, sexual health, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS prevention for the general public, particularly young people and disadvantaged groups.
3. Prevent unplanned pregnancy, unsafe abortion and eliminate domestic violence and sexual violation and abuse.
4. Commit to prevent and reduce the spread and impacts of sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS as well as stigmatization and discrimination towards the infected and affected people.
5. Develop and improve PPAT organization resources to reach maximum effectiveness, maintain its role as the lead organization in the areas of expertise and become readily equipped to cooperate with the national and international organizations.

CORE VALUES

PPAT is a non-profit and non-political organization under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother. PPAT works voluntarily not for the benefits of any particular individual or group by:

• Upholding democratic, good governance and non-discriminatory ethics and practices regardless of gender, race, ethnicity and religion.
• Valuing the rights to reproductive health and family planning information and services as a fundamental human right.
• Believing in cooperation and networking with community, government, and organizations both locally and internationally that will be a mechanism leading to achieving the PPAT’s established goal.
• Recognizing that a balance between the number of population and natural resources, productivity and development to improve quality of life are key factors contributing to well-being, economic growth, and peace among mankind.
